As well as a harbour and castle with walled garden the village boasts a boating club supporting many water sports including windsurfing yachting and kayaking and it's reputed that over 100 golf courses are found within an hour's drive. St Andrews is 35 miles Stirling 30 miles and the festival city of Edinburgh's unrivalled cultural pursuits are only 17 miles away by road (or a 30 minute journey from Aberdour's charming traditional railway station).
