Accommodation overview: Set in the heart of rural Aberdeenshire, Craighill Croft is a charming cottage which has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard. The property enjoys shared use of 10 acres, which includes a small woodland and where guests are welcome to enjoy a walk or ride. The owner also keeps chickens which provide fresh eggs for breakfast! The market town of Turriff is only 2 miles away and has a good selection of shops and restaurants. There are a great number of outdoor activities in the area from walking on coastal paths and country trails, riding at one of the fine equestrian centres or if you prefer you could bring your own horse with you and take livery with the owners (by separate arrangement). There is salmon and trout fishing available locally in the River Deveron or in the Rivers Dee and Don over in Royal Deeside (permits available locally) and you could also try your hand at sea fishing. Up on the beautiful Moray coast boat trips are available from Banff to watch dolphins and porpoise at play. Visit one of the many pretty fishing villages and relax at a pretty bay or take in the amazing views from high on the cliff tops. At Fraserburgh, just 25 miles away, you can step back in time at the heritage centre, enjoy the endless golden sandy beaches or play on the links golf course. With the castle and whisky trails also within easy reach, Craighill Croft makes for a great base from which to explore the north east and beyond. Property has electric heating.

For the outdoor enthusiasts the Lecht ski centre and the Nordic ski centre are both within reach. There are a number of good golf courses in the area including a championship course and there are also good facilities for fishing, shooting, and horse riding, cycling and walking. Just 40 miles away is Aberdeen, with its sparkling granite buildings and one of Scotland's most enchanting skylines. The city offers a range of fantastic first class restaurants combined with a thriving cultural calendar and shops galore.
