Accommodation overview: In a peaceful elevated situation 1 mile from the crofting township of Bettyhill, this detached bungalow enjoys lovely views over the village out to sea with spectacular sunsets. In its own grounds with garden furniture provided, the house is comfortably furnished, well-appointed and welcoming. All letting rooms are on ground level. The rugged north coast offers spectacular cliffs, headlands and secluded sandy beaches. There are links golf courses at Reay and Durness, sea / river angling, bird watching and wildlife, surfing, hill walking, pony trekking and coastal paths - an ideal base for an active holiday or for relaxing at a quiet pace. Bettyhill has shops, hotels, a swimming pool/leisure centre and a lovely beach. The country town of Thurso is 30 miles. A day trip to the Orkney Islands from Scrabster or John o'Groats makes a fascinating outing. 2 double bedrooms, bright lounge with wood burning stove and patio doors, small living room/study, spacious kitchen with dining table, bathroom with shower over bath.
