Accommodation overview: This stunning detached barn offers superb far reaching views from the rear over rolling fields. Little Duxmore Barn has been cleverly renovated to an excellent standard throughout. With various features such as vaulted ceilings with stunning crafted beamwork, part quarry-tiled floor, a range in an arched surround, a wood-burning stove in the dining area and plentiful windows to take full advantage of the light and views, this property makes an ideal choice for two families or extended families holidaying together. There is a covered games/barbecue area, with pool table and table tennis outside. The garden is enclosed, with a gate leading directly onto two public footpaths and also private woodland. Peacefully located in an AONB and accessed by a farm track near to the stone ground flour mill, all of the area is registered by the Organic Soil Association. There is an abundance of wildlife, including birds, red squirrels, deer and woodpeckers. Horse riders from the nearby stables occasionally trek over the fields. The popular Garlic Farm is less than half a mile distant, serving good food. The seaside resort of Ryde, 10 minutes’ drive, has 6 miles of glorious sandy beach with children’s play areas, ten pin bowling, indoor pool, ice rink, riding, golf, sailing, fishing and go-karting. The local steam railway offers a nostalgic ride into the nearby towns of Sandown or Shanklin. Explore the best of the shoreline along Heritage coastal paths. Elsewhere on the island, discover several NT homes and gardens, Carisbrooke Castle, Calbourne Water Mill, two working water mills, pottery, glass blowing, a donkey sanctuary, a zoo, Osborne House, The Needles, wildlife centres, tea rooms and craft shops. Outdoor pursuits include walking, golf, riding, and watersports. Shop 2 miles, pub 1½ miles.
