Accommodation overview: This large, detached Georgian farmhouse is an ideal holiday venue for a family celebration or get together with friends. Very well equipped and furnished, Wash Farm enjoys a peaceful setting surrounded by open countryside, where guests can relax in the delightful lawned garden or enjoy a stroll around the owner’s woodland which leads down to a brook, and there is also the added bonus of taking riding lessons at the stables nearby. Located in an excellent area for walking, cycling and bird watching, local footpaths abound. There are many picturesque towns and villages to visit locally, including Clare, Lavenham, Long Melford, Cavendish and Bury St. Edmunds, all with an interesting range of shops, restaurants and attractions. Wash Farm is conveniently situated for visiting Newmarket for a day at the races or a visit to the National Horse Racing Museum and the historic city of Cambridge, with its world famous colleges, museums, botanic gardens and punting on the River Cam. Also within easy reach are Linton Zoo and Colne Valley Railway. Shop and pub ½ mile.
