Accommodation overview: A particularly charming 16th century detached country house which has been beautifully restored and set in the heart of this lovely village on the fringe of Exmoor National Park. The Green occupies a prominent setting within the peaceful and unspoilt Somerset village of Monksilver, considered by many to be one of the most attractive in West Somerset. It includes an ancient church, popular inn and is at the foot of the Brendon Hills, within the boundaries of Exmoor National Park. A wide range of amenities are available in the rural town of Williton, around 3 miles away. Taunton, the county town of Somerset, is some 15 miles away and provides a wide range of shops and recreational facilities. The nearest beach is less than 5 miles away at Watchet, which has a fossil beach and a steam railway. The popular seaside town of Minehead is 10 miles away with lovely sandy beaches, a choice of supermarkets and a steam railway. The surrounding area is regarded as being some of the most attractive countryside in the West Country and offers numerous opportunities for outdoor pursuits such as riding, walking and cycling.
