Accommodation overview: This truly delightful detached former watermill enjoys an idyllic location set amidst four acres of grounds with two private fishing lakes for exclusive use by guests (one with a sun deck and fishing platform), stocked with a large selection of carp, bream and tench. Approached via a ¼ mile private drive, the property offers total seclusion and is a real haven for nature lovers and for those wishing to totally relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Furnished and equipped to a high standard, it has retained many character features including the original waterwheel, Cornish stone fireplace with wood-burning stove, Rangemaster cooker and beamed ceilings.
The holiday property offers an ideal location for touring the whole of Cornwall, and within a few miles of the property are a selection of sandy beaches, which include the surfing beach of Polzeath and the sailing resort of Rock. For walkers, the Cornwall Coastal Footpath provides excellent walking and the Camel Trail is ideal for cyclists, with miles of level, motor traffic-free paths. Padstow lies 7 miles away and has a good selection of shops, inns and restaurants, as well as being home to Rick Stein’s famous Seafood Restaurant, café, and fish and chip shop.
On the south coast, there are many charming fishing villages and smaller sandy coves provide a wealth of olde world charm, whilst The Eden Project lies just 9 miles distant.
