The cottage is situated on the edge of the New Forest where wild ponies roam freely among miles of heath land and there are many places of interest to visit within the area, such as the village of Burley, Exbury Gardens and Beaulieu Motor Museum. Regular ferries to the Isle of Wight depart from the famous royal yachting town of Lymington, and slightly further afield is Southampton, a port steeped in seafaring history, with good shopping facilities, and a contemporary art gallery. The historic cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury are within easy reach. Three good local pubs all serving food are within walking distance (nearest 100 yards). Shop 1 mile.
