Boasting its own enclosed garden it sits beside the owners' home on a working farm where visitors can explore the local footpaths and the surrounding glorious walking country whilst just 1 mile away is the delightful Dales village of Wolsingham with its cafes pubs and shops. Pony trekking is available in nearby Hamsterley Forest and a nostalgic steam train ride on the Weardale Railway offers an ideal way to enjoy the local landscape (in season). The historic city of Durham only 17 miles away is well worth visiting for its Norman castle magnificent cathedral and river boat trips whilst in happy contrast cosmopolitan Newcastle for excellent shopping and fascinating architecture is a 24 mile drive.
