The village is the southern terminus for the Worth Valley Steam Railway which holds seasonal events throughout the year. Walks can be accessed direct from the door, one taking you on the old pack horse trail towards Hebden Bridge which is a delightful town to explore. The area is perfect for Bronte enthusiasts, with Haworth village just 2 miles away and Top Withens, believed to be Emily Brontes inspiration for the Earnshaw residence in Wuthering Heights, just a short walk from the cottage. Haworth with its quaint cobbled street, abundance of tea rooms. good pubs and quirky shops is worthy of a visit.
