Accommodation overview: 1 OF 4 BARN CONVERSIONS, FURNISHED TO A HIGH STANDARD, INDOOR HEATED LEISURE POOL, SITUATED IN A COURTYARD SETTING AND SURROUNDED BY PEACEFUL GROUNDS Set within the peaceful grounds of the owner's farm and located a short drive from Sherborne, these delightful barns have been converted and furnished to a high standard and are situated in a courtyard setting. The design of the cottages gives the feel of a warm and welcoming farm cottage, most with wood burners and all with delightful, detailed finishing touches. The area itself is beautiful and offers a wealth of attractions to suit all tastes including pretty villages, sandy beaches and a coastline which has World Heritage status. There are many National Trust properties and gardens that are all well worth a visit including Stourhead, Montacute Kingston Lacy, Corfe Castle, Hardy's Cottage and Studland Beach and Nature Reserve. In addition to this the towns of Dorchester, Sherborne and Yeovil are easily accessible and there are many attractions to visit including Monkey World, The Tank Museum, a Sea Life Centre, Abbotsbury Swannery and Longleat. For golf enthusiasts, there is a golf course 300 yards away but if golf is not your game there are many other country pursuits within easy reach. Leisure facilities: indoor heated leisure pool (4' deep throughout) perfect for the summer and winter alike. Outside: the grounds offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside as well as two large lakes which attract a wealth of wildlife including herons, badgers, kingfishers, woodpeckers and swans. There is so much to see and do in the area with beaches to the North and South as well as a wealth of attractions to suit all tastes which include: Sherborne Castle, numerous National Trust properties and gardens, Longleat Safari Park, Montacute House, Yeovilton Air Museum, to name but a few. In the evenings, enjoy the lovely views from the patio with seating or visit one of the rustic traditional pubs close by, serving good food. Accommodation overview: This recently converted semi-detached cottage is approached via a farm lane and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The rear of the cottage overlooks a working farm however privacy is assured. A perfect place to get away and unwind. The immediate area is ideal for walking and cycling as there are a wealth of bridleway footpaths to explore. Sherborne is a beautiful town and has much to offer visitors including an abundance of medieval buildings, a superb Abbey, castle and excellent shops. Dorchester is a market town with a rich and varied history, it is home to the famous Thomas Hardy novels. Although slightly inland Dorchester is a great base from which to explore Dorset's Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site as well as the cosmopolitan resorts of Bournemouth and Poole. There are several attractions close by including Weymouth with it's seafront, beaches, Sealife Centre and harbour, Abbotsbury Swannery, Lulworth Cove and Castle, Durdle Door and Monkey World.
