Accommodation overview: Fasgadh is a lovely detached bungalow situated in a quiet cul-de-sac within the small, coastal village of Sandbank, which lies on the southern shore of the Holy Loch. The property is set back from the shoreline but still provides views from all main living areas of the Holy Loch and the hills beyond. The lounge is bright, spacious and the picture window makes an ideal spot for relaxing, enjoying the panorama, or for catching a glimpse of the stunning array of wildlife which includes swans to grey seals. Those with a love of sailing and the water will enjoy watching the steady procession of boats passing by and the ever changing moods of the sea. The sofa bed in the lounge can sleep an additional two guests and this area can be curtained off from the dining area for privacy. The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped with all modern conveniences and has access through the utility into a private garden area. The bedrooms are beautifully coordinated and the master bedroom has en suite facilities. The open garden has mature trees and apples can be picked in the summer months. Across the road there is open access down to the shore where it is possible to launch a canoe, kayak or sailing dinghy to explore the coastline. Guests are close to essential amenities, as it is only a gentle walk to the local village shop, post office and the local pub and restaurant. The quiet roads round this peninsula make them perfect for cycling. Sandbank is a great location to explore the surrounding area; there are sea lochs to explore, mountains to climb, all with an abundance of wildlife and history to delve into. The Argyll Forest, which forms part of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, offers numerous forest tracks, way marked walks and cycle ways, is on the doorstep. There are various activities available such as horse riding, sailing, quad biking, yoga and holistic therapies. Across the loch is the Kilmun Arboretum, home to a variety of exotic tree species making a fascinating place to explore. The Benmore Botanic Gardens are a must see with its avenue of Giant Redwoods and wonderful plants. Golfing is available locally and Dunoon has an 18 hole course. A short drive and ferry ride will take visitors to the Isle of Bute, where the fabulous Victorian Gothic Mount Stuart House makes a great day out. Dunoon provides a good shopping centre, leisure facilities and a cinema. From Dunoon visitors can enjoy trips on the historic paddle steamer "Waverley" (summer only) or take the ferry service to Gourock and then the bus south to Largs or west by train or bus to Greenock and Glasgow. Property is all on ground floor level, has electric heaters.

Accommodation overview: Easdale Island is a tiny, unique island (only 10 hectares in size), situated just off the West Coast in the Forth of Lorn. A stay on Easdale means really getting away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday live. The Island has no roads or cars and the short crossing over is on a small, passenger only, ferry. The island has no shop but it has a great bar/restaurant and a large community hall which hosts a range of music, theatre and other events throughout the year.
