Peacefully situated in the small village of Stawell beside the Polden Hills and close to the Somerset Levels nature reserves and walks fishing can also be accessed. An ideal base for a touring holiday whether by car or bicycle and is centrally positioned for the nearby towns of Street famous for Clarks shopping village and historical Glastonbury known for its Abbey Tor and annual Extravaganza in August. Further afield is Wells at the foot of the Mendip Hills with its cathedral and farmer s market on Wednesday mornings. Other local attractions include Cheddar Caves and Gorge Wookey Hole and the beaches at Burnham-on-Sea Brean Sands and Weston-Super-Mare.
