Accommodation overview: This attractive, spacious, detached Victorian house is ideally situated within the conservation area of the popular village of Dunwich on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, making it the perfect location for family holidays. It has been refurbished and retains much of its original character but now provides modern comfortable living with a twist. The upper floor has been converted to spacious living accommodation to offer panoramic views across forest, marshes, beach and out to sea. Dunwich is a unique small fishing village ideally located between Southwold and Aldeburgh in a very beautiful and historic part of the East Anglian coastline. Dunwich is surrounded by extensive heathlands, forest, marsh and reedy foreshore leading on to miles of unspoilt beaches. A birdwatcher’s paradise, the RSPB reserve at Minsmere is only a few minutes away. There is an interesting museum, a well known fish and chip restaurant, and gift shop on the beach where freshly caught fish can be purchased directly from fishermen. There is a wide range of activities available in the area including bird watching, walking, cycling and sailing. The famous resorts of Southwold, with its lighthouse, pier and colourful beach huts and Aldeburgh, famous for its connections with composer Benjamin Britten, are a short drive away, as are the picturesque villages of Walberswick and Orford.
