Having enjoyed views from here and possibly walks around the local Rosebush reservoir, why not visit her big sister a few miles south at Llys y Fran Country Park. This 212 acre man-made lake supplies most of Pembrokeshire's drinking water and is the largest game fishery in South West Wales. Its open for both fly and bait fishing and is regularly restocked from on-site rearing cages. The beautiful woodland setting of Lys y Fran offers trails for both walkers and cyclists with mountain bike hire available. Lovely walking riding and golf can be enjoyed locally and within 30 miles visitors will find a wealth of attractions to explore including an RSPB wildlife reserve a chocolate farm family theme parks and a Roman goldmine. The historic town of Carmarthen (about 15 miles) boasts a weekly market with excellent local produce a wide range of shops and restaurants cinema theatre sports centre and an indoor swimming pool.
