Accommodation overview: Lochside Cottage is located in the tranquil village of Kinlochard, which is in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The cottage is beautifully presented, with great attention to all details. The lounge has a large LCD TV, leather 3 piece suite, wood burning stove, with dining area behind. You are led into a fantastic bright spacious kitchen, which has a feature stone wall and central breakfasting area. The kitchen has access straight onto the private decking. Both bedrooms are beautifully coordinated and each has a wall mounted combined TV/DVD with satellite connection. This lovingly restored stone built cottage sits on the bank of a charming river and from the spacious decking you can see it making its way towards Loch Ard. The cottage has full access to 15 acres of maintained ground, with fields that lead you down to the lochside, where fishing is free to residents from the foreshore. This is a fantastic location for outdoor enthusiasts, as you have the vast Queen Elizabeth Forest right on your doorstep. There are endless miles of forest roads and trails to explore, both walking and cycling. Ben Lomond can be viewed behind the property and it is a great Munro to climb. Surrounding you there is an abundance of wild life to spot, birds of prey, red squirrels and pine martin to name a few. Loch Ard itself is stunning, with small islands and a crannog to explore. There are resident Canada geese and many different species of birds and ducks can be found by the loch. A gentle walk along the lochside will give you access to the hotel complex's facilities and bar. Clay pigeon shooting, farm tours, guided walks, 4x4 safaris, quad biking and sailing are available (some seasonal). In the surrounding area there are lots of other activities for every age and interests. For the adventurous there is a high wire forest adventure, with the longest zip wire in Britain at Aberfoyle. Aberfoyle has a 9 hole golf course. From this central location you can easily travel and explore. It is an area steeped in history and there are lots of places of interest to visit. The Glengoyne Distillery producing Highland Single Malt Whiskey, is only 12 miles south at Dumgoyne. The Loch Katrine Steamship "Sir Walter Scott" is a great cruise. Blair Drummond Safari Park, just outside Stirling, is only a half hour drive away. Property is all at ground floor level, has gas central heating.

Accommodation overview: La Fortuna is a new detached wooden lodge situated on the edge of the historic town of Stirling. The lodge interior has been beautifully furnished, co-ordinated and is well appointed.   The lounge / dining area is light and airy with French doors leading out onto a lovely covered balcony area at the front, which has outdoor seating to relax and enjoy the view. The kitchen is fully fitted and well equipped.  Downstairs there is a king sized bedroom next to the large, spacious family bathroom.  Upstairs there are a further two bedrooms and a shower room. The main entrance is ramped and all ground floor rooms have wide door openings and light switches at waist height.  There is free use of the on-site Hot Tub, which is housed in its own log cabin.  By arrangement you could also treat yourself to a hair cut/styling or beauty treatments in the comfort of your own lodge.   La Fortuna sits in an open, spacious grassy garden, close to road links.
