The area is also renowned for its outdoor pursuits. Spectacular mountain bike trails offer easy routes for beginners as well as extremely challenging ones for experienced riders - and all will appreciate the amazing views from the top! Fishing is second to none, with accessibility to some of the most prolific salmon rivers available by day ticket to visitors. There are also some lovely hill lochs for trout, and sea fishing is also a popular pastime. Non anglers will also be enchanted by a visit to the Fall of Shin. Just 10 minutes drive away; it is one of the few places to watch wild salmon close at hand, leaping up the dramatic falls. Golf, sailing, canoeing, riding, climbing, hill and forest walking are available in the region. Whilst dogs are welcome in the cottage there are also kennels available for visiting pets use.
