Accommodation overview: Formerly a working windmill, this unusual property has been sensitively refurbished and enjoys wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Situated within a complex of converted mill and granary buildings, it is able to accommodate a large family or a group holidaying together, and has been comfortably furnished throughout with all modern day conveniences – making it perfect for holidays at any time of year. Internal beams, wooden floors and a wood-burning stove all enhance its aura of great character, whilst French doors open from many rooms onto the enclosed lawned garden with its sun terraces and seating.
Walsingham has a history of pilgrimage, and the abbey, priory ruins and excavated site of the original Holy House bear testimony to former days when religion played an important part in the life of the village. Pleasant walking is to be found locally amidst unspoilt parklands, where a gentle river meanders lazily alongside. For a day by the sea, there is an excellent sandy beach to be found at Wells-next-the-Sea (4 miles), which also has a picturesque quay and small working fish harbour. For nature lovers, there is a wealth of nature and RSPB reserves to visit, and boat trips to Blakeney to view colonies of seals can be made from Morston. Excellent walking along the coastal path is available locally, and further along the coastline (18 miles), the ever-popular seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham offer shops, inns, and restaurants, together with Splash Leisure Centre, golf, horse riding and sandy beaches. Historic homes such as Holkham Hall, the Royal Sandringham Estate and Museum are all within an easy drive. Shop 1 mile.

Lovingly renovated using traditional materials throughout, it has a wealth of beams and original features plus all the comforts of a modern kitchen and bathroom. Coastal walks, cycle routes, birdwatching and golf are nearby, as are antique centres, galleries, historic houses and gardens. The unique medieval village of Little Walsingham, with shrines, abbey, pubs/restaurants and shops is a pleasant ¾-mile walk away.
