Accommodation overview: Situated just 6 miles from the North Norfolk coastline with its beautiful sandy beaches and a wealth of nature and bird reserves, this pretty detached cottage is peacefully located in the village of Stanhoe. Surrounded by its own large enclosed garden, the cottage offers character and charm and has been comfortably furnished to offer superb holiday accommodation with views across the garden and the village duck pond. The village pub, serving good food, is within easy walking distance.
Burnham Market (4 miles) offers shops, butcher, baker, restaurants and inns. For nature lovers, excellent bird-watching can be enjoyed amid the nearby salt marshes and sand dunes, where good walking may also be found. Additionally, the Coastal Path and Pedlars Way footpath (which stretches from Swaffham and follows the coastline to Cromer) also offers further routes for walkers. For lazy days by the sea, excellent sandy beaches can be found at Brancaster, Holkham and Wells-next-the Sea, whilst the popular seaside resorts of Heacham and Hunstanton offer many attractions for all ages. Within easy driving distance are numerous historical ruins, stately homes and gardens including Holkham Hall, Walsingham Abbey and Shrine ruins, as well as the Royal Sandringham Estate (which is open to the public when the Royal family is not in residence).
