Historical houses abound in the region, with ruins to be found at nearby Castle Rising and Castle Acre. The Queen’s country residence of Sandringham is open to the public (unless a member of the Royal family is in residence) and is just 11 miles away. The market towns of Fakenham and East Dereham are close by and well worth a visit. Excellent trout and coarse fishing nearby.
