Accommodation overview: Dating back to 1880, this detached former station keeper’s cottage has been lovingly refurbished and retains many original features including quarry stone floors. The beautiful gardens lead to secret little seating areas and the property is surrounded by stunning open views with walks and cycle paths in abundance. Scarborough is 15 minutes; quaint Thornton-le-Dale, 2 miles. The cottage lies at the foot of Dalby Forest, with 40 miles of mountain bike trails (bike hire avail), plus BBQ and children’s play areas. The stunning Yorkshire coast, the N. Yorks Moors and historic York are easily explored. Camp site shop 1 mile, village shop 2½ miles, pubs ¼ mile.
