Accommodation overview: Meadow Ing is great for 2 Families and Large groups. A dormer style Bungalow but with plenty of character and lots of space with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Built from local sandstone and reclaimed beams it is situated on a farm at the edge of Crackenthorpe, which lies 2 miles to the west of Appleby and in the heart of the Eden Valley. The area is great for walking with easy access to the Lake District, The Yorkshire Dales and Pennine Hills. Local attractions include a swimming pool at Appleby, Acorn Bank Gardens, Ostrich Farm and Center Parcs at which you can buy daily tickets. Appleby of course is famous for its horse fair in June.

The garden is a real feature of the house. Known as the Image Garden, it is laid out in Italianate style and is full of statues and sculptures created by a previous owner in the early 19th Century - the multitalented Thomas Bland, artist, poet, composer and scientist. Every year they held a garden party for up to 1400 people to celebrate the accession of Queen Victoria. The property can accommodate up to 15 people, ideal for large family gatherings or walking parties. Reagill is a delightful village situated in the unspoilt Eden Valley.
