The lovely old building from which it has been converted was once a stable block for the Royal Mail’s post horses in years gone by. Carefully designed to retain its character and charm, and with its own garden, the cottage is immaculately furnished and equipped, and occupies a pleasant position half way along the owner’s drive. Sedbergh, a small quiet town with narrow streets, is situated in a grassy bowl rimmed by the Howgill Fells. The cottage overlooks open fields, with many footpaths through the countryside. Although in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Sedbergh is in Cumbria, close to both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Lake Windermere 17 miles. Hawes 14 miles. Excellent walking, fishing, cycling, pony-trekking, golf and many fine inns nearby. Shops ¼ mile.
