Accommodation overview: This beautiful Edwardian property was built in 1911 by a local man who, having retired from milling due to ill health, built Vale View Stores as a local shop where the villagers could buy local produce. The local doctor also had a consulting room in what is now the dining room and in more recent years, Vale View has traded as a  bakery and tea room serving visitors en route to nearby Cartmel, Grange Over Sands and the steamers at Lakeside. Situated in the now bypassed hamlet of High Newton, theres a good local pub across the road and a great local butchers within walking distance.
