Accommodation overview: Lindale is a delightful village in the south Lakes, only 2 miles from Grange Over Sands which can be reached in 5 minutes by car or 40 minutes walk for those more energetic of you. Grange was a popular resort of the Victorians and still today retains an historic feel with the lovely  promenade fringed by delightful tea rooms and craft shops. Lindale is well placed for exploring all of the Lakes and Furness Peninsula, Windermere Lake being only only 15 minutes drive. The village itself has a local store, well supported village hall and two pubs offering real ale and excellent food.

Accommodation overview: This magnificent converted detached barn on three levels abounds with elegance, style and comfort to provide a peaceful holiday haven in rural tranquillity. Featuring French oak beams, Lake District slate, lots of exposed stonework, and granite work surfaces in the large kitchen, the barn provides masses of space for couples or family groups. Surrounded by pasture land and woods there are many walks direct from the door down to the Edwardian coastal town of Grange-over-Sands, 2 miles, which has all facilities and two golf courses, or across country to the picturesque village of Cartmel, 4 miles, with its 14th-century priory, many pubs and restaurants, and annual horse racing events. Behind the barn are stabled some ‘resting’ racehorses, which can be seen grazing with sheep and cattle in the 25-acre grounds. Holker Hall, gardens and museum, Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall are within 8 miles, whilst Lake Windermere is just 5 miles with the Lake Cruiser, Aquarium of the Lakes and the Lakeside to Haverthwaite Steam Railway. This southern area of the Lake District National Park hosts a multitude of visitor attractions as well as beautiful Lakes and stunning fells for walking and climbing.
