This charming wood-lined lodge is presented to a high standard throughout and offers bright and attractive accommodation in a quiet country setting a real retreat. The modern, well-equipped kitchen opens out onto a good-sized dining area with uninterrupted views across open farmland. Deer, pine martin and a variety of birds can be seen direct from the windows. The spacious lounge is tastefully furnished and decorated and the two double bedrooms and modern shower room provide a warm, welcoming ambience. A large verandah and decked barbeque area surrounds the lodge and provides a superb outside dining and relaxing area. Accommodation overview: This 200 year old whitewashed detached stone cottage is set within 1.5 acres of cottage gardens and separate walled garden area. Situated down a quiet country lane in pretty countryside with dry stone walls, small bridges over tumbling rivers and lovely rolling hills this area is a real backwater, yet only 6 miles from the centre of Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. Craigellachie Cottage has lots of original features, including thick stone walls, deep silled windows and a cosy wood burning stove. It is beautifully presented and attractively furnished, with a modern kitchen boasting granite work surfaces and solid wood cabinets. The gardens and grounds are a real feature of the property. To the front and sides there is a lawned area with shrubs, surrounded by an attractive old stone wall. Outside the kitchen is a patio area with tables, chairs and a good sized BBQ. There is a large walled natural garden adjoining the cottage, which is mainly grassed with mature trees and shrubs. It is a lovely addition to the property and ideal to relax and enjoy a picnic and outdoor games. There are many places of interest and historical sites within easy reach.
