The golden sands of Hayle, Godrevy and Gwithian within nearby St Ives bay provide 4 miles of glorious beaches, ideal for bathing and surfing. On the other side of the bay, the scenic harbour town of St Ives has a host of galleries, including the Tate and many good pubs and restaurants. Short drives will take you to the South coast where you can visit the town of Penzance, with its long sandy beach at Marazion, St Michaels Mount and the fishing villages of Newlyn and Mousehole, with spectacular scenery to enjoy on your way. For the family, there is a Wildlife Sanctuary situated in Hayle, Flambards Theme Park at Helston, The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno and the National Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, as well as several National Trust properties and gardens.
