Accommodation overview: In a splendid position in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and just a mile from a sandy beach, this large comfortable farmhouse stands in its own enclosed garden, with a path leading down into a beautiful wooded valley, 10 acres of which belong to the owner. The house, retaining much of its original 1920s’ character, is spacious and comfortable, with wonderful views over the valley below and plenty of storage space for surfboards and bicycles, making it an ideal holiday base for a large family group. For nature lovers, the area provides plentiful opportunities for wildlife watching. Roe deer and badgers may sometimes be seen from the house and there are owls and many other species of birds, as well as seals to be seen on the coast. Just a mile away is Crackington Haven with its sandy beach and rock pools, ideal for both children and the young at heart to while away the hours.

Furnished and decorated with flair, it is extremely well equipped and boasts many fine features, including a delightful conservatory and a small secluded first floor balcony affording views over the terraced garden and countryside beyond. Located close to a main road, Oeston Park is just a short walk from Bude town centre and all its amenities. It is set adjacent to Oeston Park Cottage, which can be accessed if required via a walkway (normally kept locked), allowing the two holiday properties to be booked together for larger family gatherings.
This part of the coast is very popular with watersports enthusiasts, and those craving lovely beaches and a classic Cornish seaside holiday. In addition to lovely coastal walks, there is horse riding and a golf course nearby, with fishing, boating and canoeing available on the nearby waterway. Bude is a fine resort and the main centre for surfing, with good sandy beaches, rock pools and a tidal swimming pool. Once a busy port, it stages an annual jazz festival and has numerous good pubs and restaurants. Widemouth Bay is only 3 miles further down the coast and has a Blue Flag beach. Fishing is also available in the canal (some of the finest coarse fishing waters in the west). Further afield, but within easy driving distance, are the historic coastal villages of Boscastle, Tintagel, Hartland Quay and Clovelly. The well-known Tree Inn at Stratton is 1½ miles, Shop and the Red Post Inn with fish and chips takeaway is ½ mile away.
