The Tarka Trail is popular with walkers and cyclists - it can be joined 5 minutes from the house so that you get to Bideford, Fremington Quay, Barnstaple and beyond, with glorious river and country views along the way. Further afield are attractions to suit most tastes and these include the market town of Barnstaple, Tapley Park, National Trust's Arlington Court, The Big Sheep, The Milky Way and much more. Enjoy a BBQ in the enclosed rear garden in the evenings, or stroll to one of the family pubs serving good food. The accommodation, which retains much of its original charm with period furnishings and has been in the same family for generations.
