Accommodation overview: WING OF PERIOD FARMHOUSE IN POPULAR VILLAGE SETTING Situated on a working organic dairy farm between the well-known surfing beaches of Croyde and Putsborough, and down the road from the chocolate box village of Georgeham, which offers a shop and pubs, one with a very good reputation for serving fresh food and good ale. Or roam across the fields to join the road down to Putsborough beach, a sandy beach with rock pools. The main draw for this property is its location, just 2 miles from Croyde Bay which offers one of the best surfing destinations in the country with its mile of picture postcard golden sandy beach, and selection of restaurants, pubs and shops to pick up a memento or two of your visit. If Croyde is not the beach for you, then you are not short of alternatives with Woolacombe, Saunton and Putsborough beaches just a short drive from your door. North Devon has a host of activities on offer to complement the wonderful scenery, visit one of the many all-year attractions, enjoy a walk over Exmoor National Park or visit historic Barnstaple with its market and high street shops. Croyde, Saunton and Woolacombe beaches are famous for their golden sand and surf and there are also villages and towns such as Lynmouth and Ilfracombe with their harbours and fishing trips. Other attractions well worth a visit include National Trust Arlington Court, Marwood Gardens, Watermouth Castle and The Valley of the Rocks, to name a few. Walkers will enjoy strolling the countryside around the property and there is also Exmoor which is very accessible and famed for its beauty and wildlife. The regional town of Barnstaple has a range of leisure facilities including swimming pool, tennis, theatre and cinema. There are pubs which serve food with the nearest being a 20 minute cross country walk.
