Watch glass being blown at Dartington Crystal before enjoying a traditional Devon cream tea in the adjoining restaurant. Family theme parks such as The Big Sheep and The Milky Way are a short distance away and offer families of all ages a great day out. Other interesting places to visit include Clovelly, a cliffside fishing village with steep cobbled streets leading down to the harbour. The market town of Bideford with its weekly pannier market, Burton Art Gallery, Victoria Park and historic quayside are worth a look. The house provides the perfect base for exploring the delights of Devon and Cornwall, and there are attractions to suit all tastes within a short drive, including RHS Rosemoor Gardens, Dartington Crystal, the North Devon coastline, and the rugged landscapes of Dartmoor, numerous National Trust properties and many delightful villages between. After an invigorating day of walking or enjoying the sunshine at the beach, you can enjoy the delights on offer at the house. This country house is at its most dramatic on winter evenings, where you can enjoy a roaring log fire in the spacious drawing room or simply sit back and take in the wondrous views from the comfort of a cosy armchair, enjoying a morning coffee and biscuits with your favourite book. As well as delightful walks, the surrounding countryside provides the perfect venue for cycling, golf, horse riding, fishing and many other country pursuits. Leisure facilities: which include a pool table and use of a swimming pool which is open from the end of May until the first week in September (possibly until the end of September weather dependant).
