Accommodation overview: Superbly positioned within 100 yards of Summerleaze beach with outstanding views from the first floor sitting room, this delightful early 19th century character cottage and detached annexe provides extensive and homely accommodation and good outside space.
The gated parking area is large enough for two good sized cars and gives the option of entering the cottage by the front door or, as most people choose, through the breakfast/dining area with table and seating for ten and open plan kitchen with high quality fittings and unusual dual porthole windows overlooking Bude Canal. This area leads to the ground floor sitting room with two sofas, fireplace and bay window to the canal.
At the rear of the ground floor is a twin bedroom with French doors to a small outside patio/eating area and adjacent bathroom WC with power shower over the bath and wash basin.
Upstairs the feature is the sitting room with bay window facing the beach and sea which seems almost in line with the water when the tides are at their highest. The master bedroom faces the garden and has an en-suite bathroom WC with power shower over the roll-top bath and wash basin. There is also a comfortable twin bedroom facing the canal and beach.
From the rear terrace a flight of steps leads to a level lawned area surrounded by shrubs and flower beds from which another flight of steps leads to the annexe, recently constructed with a slate roof to echo the main cottage. Inside there is a twin bedroom, sitting room with double sofa bed and French doors to the garden, and a spacious bathroom WC with shower over the bath and wash basin.
Young children will require supervision in the main cottage as upstairs windows are low although supplied with security locks. For parties of six people or less wishing to book the cottage only, outside of the period 1 May to 1 September and the Spring, Autumn and Winter holidays please contact our office for an under-occupancy reduction. Accommodation overview: With views of Bude Canal and glimpses of the sea and beach about 500 yards away, Wharfinger combines period charm and modern comforts with spacious accommodation and a secluded garden and is an excellent base from which to enjoy the facilities of Bude.
An open driveway with parking for one large or two small cars leads to the entrance porch with space for beach clothes or coats leading into a welcoming inner hall. The ground floor provides two sitting rooms: the one at the front has a gas fire set in a marble hearth for cosy spring or autumn evenings and a bay window looking across the canal with oblique views of the beach; the sitting room to the rear has patio doors leading on to a small terrace and steps up to the garden as well as a double sofa bed for extra sleeping accommodation by prior arrangement.
Beyond the sitting rooms is a large, well fitted galley kitchen with an archway through to a light and spacious conservatory/breakfast room with table and seating for ten. The ground floor is completed by a shower room WC with power shower and wash basin.
Carpeted stairs lead up from the hall to the first floor bedrooms. The stairs divide at the top and to the right are two twin bedrooms; to the front looking over the canal and to the rear overlooking the garden and parish church with French doors to a small railed balcony. To the left of the stairs the front bedroom has a 5ft double bed and an attractive bay window facing the canal; the rear bedroom has twin beds, a vanity basin and views over the garden.
From the landing there are three steps down to a spacious upstairs bathroom WC with shower over the bath and wash basin. The rear garden can be reached by several quite steep steps from a terrace accessed from both the breakfast room and rear sitting room.
The garden has a paved area suitable for outside dining, and a pleasant expanse of lawn with an attractive central tree. For returning customers, the garden layout has been altered to accommodate a new detached cottage at the top of the garden.

Accommodation overview: MODERN EXCLUSIVE MAISONETTE A SHORT WALK FROM CROOKLETS SURFING BEACH This court named after the Vicar of Morwenstow is a private development of 15 luxury townhouses and 10 apartments peacefully situated near Crooklets Beach and overlooking the seaward end of the Bude and North Cornwall 18 hole Golf Course. The beach home of the first Surf Life saving Club in Great Britain is a few minutes level walk away and the beach locality has several fine hotels and restaurants and a large beach café. Bude s main shopping centre is within easy walking distance and only a few minutes by car. The town and its surrounding countryside is very un-commercialised and offers countless coastal and inland walks and of course is part of the South West s Coastal Footpath.
